Research

The Centre for Physical Activity in Ageing (CPAA) has an active research program with its major emphasis being to investigate the various relationships between exercise and ageing.

Research work relating to the effects of exercise and older women has been published and presented internationally in our efforts to inform both the scientific and general community to the benefits of an active lifestyle for older persons.

The Centre's research program is primarily funded through the acquisition of specific grants. The Centre has been successful in obtaining numerous grants from the NH&MRC, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Department of Human Services and the Flinders University of South Australia.
